In recent years, many young Nigerians have shown deep admiration for foreign countries such as Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Dubai. This admiration is not simply because of luxury or entertainment; it is largely connected to the search for better opportunities, stability, and a higher quality of life.
One major reason young Nigerians admire foreign countries is the availability of better job opportunities. Many graduates in Nigeria struggle to secure good-paying jobs despite having qualifications and skills. In contrast, foreign countries are often seen as places where hard work is rewarded and career growth is possible. This creates hope for young people who desire financial independence and professional success.
Another reason is the quality of education and technology abroad. Foreign institutions are equipped with modern facilities, advanced research systems, and practical learning methods. Young Nigerians are attracted to environments where innovation and creativity are encouraged. Exposure to global technology and digital advancement also increases their admiration for developed nations.
