In today’s society, many young people focus more on hustling than studying because they desire financial independence and quick success. Social media has also made hustling appear attractive, as many people now earn money through businesses, content creation, and digital skills.
Hustling has several advantages. It helps young people gain experience, become independent, and support themselves financially. In countries like Nigeria, where unemployment and economic challenges exist, many students hustle to survive and meet their needs.
However, studying should not be completely replaced. Education provides knowledge, discipline, and professional qualifications needed for careers such as medicine, law, engineering, and journalism. It also helps individuals develop critical thinking and communication skills that are useful in everyday life and business.
Although hustling can provide quick income, it is not always stable. Businesses may fail, and online trends can change. Education, on the other hand, offers long-term opportunities and serves as a backup plan during difficult times.
Therefore, hustling and studying should go hand in hand. Students should learn how to balance academics with productive skills or side businesses. Combining both education and hustling is the best path toward lasting success and personal growth.
